In the running for Week 5’s top spot are players from Evans, Lakeside, and Greenbrier high schools. Each of these athletes has shown incredible skill and leadership on the field, making them a valuable asset to their teams.

First up is Evans quarterback, Damekus Taylor. In the Knights’ game against Grovetown, Taylor threw for 285 yards and three touchdowns, leading his team to a 49-14 victory. He also rushed for 104 yards and two more touchdowns, showcasing his versatility and playmaking abilities.

Next, we have Lakeside running back, Jake Johnson. Johnson rushed for 213 yards and three touchdowns in the Panthers’ 35-14 win over Harlem. His impressive speed and agility have been crucial in helping Lakeside maintain their unbeaten record this season.

And finally, Greenbrier’s quarterback, Brooks Pangle, has also earned a spot on this week’s poll. Pangle threw for 159 yards and two touchdowns in the Wolfpack’s 27-14 win over Grovetown.
