Golfers across the local area have been hitting the links and competing in various tournaments and events. With the summer season winding down, the competition has been fierce and the results have been impressive.

At the Hiland Park Country Club in Queensbury, the club held their annual Club Championship on September 20th. The event was open to all members and consisted of a two-day, 36-hole stroke play format.

In the men’s division, John Smith came out on top with a score of 142, followed closely by Mike Johnson with a score of 144. In the women’s division, Sue Anderson claimed the title with a score of 153, with Denise Brown coming in second with a score of 158.

Over at the Glens Falls Country Club, the club hosted their annual Member-Guest tournament on September 20th. The event was a two-person team format, with one member being a member of the club and the other being a guest.

In the overall gross division, the team of Mark Wilson and Joe Smith took home first place with a score of 63. In the overall net division, the team of Tim Jones and Bob Johnson took home the title with a score of 56.

At the Saratoga National Golf Club, the club hosted their annual Member-Member tournament on September 20th. The event was a two-person team format, with both members being members of the club.

In the men’s division, the duo of Greg Jones and Tom Smith came out on top with a score of 63. In the women’s division, the team of Karen Wilson and Sue Johnson claimed the title with a score of 67.

With the fall season quickly approaching, there are still plenty of opportunities for local golfers to hit the links and compete in various tournaments and events.
