The Kroger Queen City Championship, a golf tournament on the LPGA Tour, kicked off on Thursday with the first round of competition. The tournament, held at the Green Golf Club in Cincinnati, Ohio, features some of the top female golfers from around the world.

Other top players in the field include Olympic gold medalist Inbee Park and current world number one, Jin Young Ko. Both players had solid first rounds, with Park shooting a 3-under-par 69 and Ko shooting a 2-under-par 70.
The tournament has a deep field of talent, with 12 major champions and 21 former LPGA Tour winners competing. This includes defending champion, Mi Jung Hur, who won the tournament last year by six strokes.
The Kroger Queen City Championship not only showcases the skill of some of the top female golfers in the world, but it also supports a great cause. The tournament is a fundraiser for the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, with Kroger donating $1,000 for every birdie and $5,000 for every eagle made during the tournament.
