The Augusta Promise Scholarship Program, a new initiative by Augusta University, has named its first class of recipients. The program, which was established to provide financial assistance and support to high-achieving students from low-income families in the Augusta area, will fund up to $5,000 per year for each recipient’s four years of undergraduate study.

This year’s recipients, selected from a pool of over 200 applicants, represent a diverse group of students with a strong drive to succeed. They come from various high schools in the Augusta area, and have excelled academically and in extracurricular activities.

The Augusta Promise Scholarship Program was created in response to the growing need for financial aid among students from low-income families in the Augusta area. Many of these students have the potential to excel in college, but are often hindered by financial barriers.

By providing these students with financial support, as well as access to academic and career resources, the Augusta Promise Scholarship Program aims to help them achieve their educational and career goals. The program also aims to support the economic development of the Augusta area by producing a highly educated workforce.

The first class of recipients of the Augusta Promise Scholarship Program is a testament to the program’s success in identifying and supporting promising students in the community. With this scholarship, these students will have the opportunity to pursue their dreams and make a positive impact in their communities.

We congratulate the inaugural class of Augusta Promise Scholarship recipients and commend Augusta University for their commitment to investing in the future of the Augusta community. We look forward to seeing the success and impact of these students in the years to come. Read More!
